Top Local Tips for Krakow

salt mines book a tour and go, not to be missed,great value and very special

Use Public Transport Go to the Salt Mines at Wieliczka and to Auschwitz by using public minibuses. The tourist information centre under the old town hall tower in the main square will give you all the times and cost. We travelled to Auschwitz by minibus for 14zl return and to the Wieliczka for 5zl return. Trams in the centre of Krakow are easy to use and ease the strain on the feet.

Krakow delivers! There is so much to do in and around Krakow that a night or two won't be nearly enough. It's lovely, lively city with lots of historical sites to explore and things to do - Wawel Castle, bustling main square, shopping for Christmas ornaments, great restaurants, etc, plus nearby sights - Nova Huta, Salt Mine, Auschewicz and more. Believe the guidebooks and spend at least 4 nights in this great town!
