Top Local Tips for Krakow
To and from the Airport, make it easy and cheap. When leaving the airport there is a free shuttle right in front to the railway sation or you can take a right and walk 200 meters. The train takes 15 minutes, by far the quickest journey, and costs 4 Polish Zloty each, about 75pence, pay on the train. From the station it is a lovely walk through gardens to the old town only minutes away. There is a tourist information office as you first walk into the gardens, you take a underground path under the road to get to them, they have all information regarding Bus times etc for Auscwitz and Salt Mines, really helpful.On your return journey to the airport, buy a ticket from the platform machine or you will be fined an extra 4 zloty on the train.
Main Square You could spend your whole time in the Square; shopping, eating and drinking and watching the world go by.
