Top Local Tips for Krakow
stay in if you stay at rokk hotel then dont go out at night.... well there is no where to go near to the hotel and walking down the dark alley is really scary and not recommended
The Salt Mine Into the mine is about 700 steps (down) in reasonable stages and the interest value is High. Total descent is 135m. (over 400ft.) Reasonable fitness is needed although many of the visitors are 60+, so dont be put off.Coming up in the Miners Lift is a surprise finale.It would be a pity to visit Krakow AND NOT visit the mine.Allow about 3.5 hours and the cost is 62Zsl per head.The cost by bus from Krakow is a rediculous 3Zsl. (60p. for a 30 minute bus trip) - but don't tell the organisers I said that.
