Top Local Tips for Krakow
The Obvious tours We would not advise anyone to attempt to visit both the Wieliczka Salt Mine and Auschwitz Camps on the same day, it could well be emotionally and physically tiring for some.
Lovely city to visit Public transport is easy enough, and convenient, 50p to get to anywhere. The salt mines are a must we went here with a tour company which cost us around £20 and they picked us up from the hotel that price includes a tour guide inside as well. The market in cloth hall is lovely and the outside market some lovely thing to buy and really cheap! We also went to the zoo it was £3 to get in but everywhere is so small for the animals that its not a good experience so i wouldnt recomment that.
Bob's Taxi We prebooked our transfer from the airport with Robert also known as Bobtaxi and somtimes 'Mr Bond' just call me James. [Hard to explain the joke, but when you meet him you will understand] He is first class, always on time. We also took a tour to the salt mines with him which was only a few Zloty more then going on a coach. a Real charicter who speeks very good english. you can email direct on krakow@bobtaxi.com.pl
