The hotel was clean and if old-fashioned, rather a gloomy atmosphere with long dark corridors and a cellar breakfast room. The five nights that we stayed there coincided with major building works on the floor above us. The drilling and banging started at 7 a.m and continued till 7p.m.The lift was often out of use as breeze blocks were transported to the 4th floor.The remnants of old floorboards and other debris were stored around the front (and apparently only)exit to the building. A notice at reception invited any suggestions for improvements to the hotel's service but the owner showed a total indifference to our complaints. On checking with the pleasant staff on reception they confirmed that the reason their boss appeared not to care was that he didn't! Hotel apart Krakow is wonderful & people friendly & welcoming.
