Top Local Tips for Krakow

airport to city centre We took the service bus from the airport to the city centre, this was crowded as it stopped at every stop for the local people. With cases at our feet and the aisles full, it was rather uncomfortablefor a half hour journey. On the advice of our hotel receptionist, we caught the train back to the airport, this went direct from the station to the airport, was clean, spacious and quick.

Late night robberies Whilst we were in Krakow a member of a friends party was attacked when returning alone from a nightclub and bundled into a car where he was robbed at gunpoint then dumped in the middle of nowhere. A similar robbery had happened to another friend of the party on a previous visit, so this is apparently not a one off!. If possible stick with friends when returning home late at night and keep to the busy areas.

Auschwich Do not take an arranged tour. Use the train/bus and save money with free entry to the museum
