Top Local Tips for Gdansk

Taxis who get Lost Many of the taxis i took in the Gdansk/Sopot area dont seem to know the area very well....especially the older guys doing the job part time. My advice is either to make sure the driver speaks decent english and can tell you that he know where the place is or alternatively choose a younger driver as they tend to know the area better. Quite often a driver will get lost and have to ask other drivers or people where the street is that you need to go and of course the clock is still ticking....worse place for experiencing this type of thing, be sure also that the taxi driver does not take you on a longer route!
