This little hotel in Tromso, really is a fantastic place to stay, my friend and I 'adopted' our hotelier 'Mr Jenson' - Nothing was too much trouble for him, he was lovely, very friendly and pleasant, extremely helpful, He made our holiday in Tromso a delight, by showing us all places of interest, giving us excellent directions, and generally so nice and accommodating , we really did not want to leave! THIS HOTEL IS THE BEST IN TROMSO!!! *forget your big chain hotels, this place has character and one-to-one friendly staff. ;0)

He's a photographer who has such a passion for the lights that he just wants everyone to see them. He drove us out of the city right up to the Norway/Finland border looking for clear skies, picked us up at 6.30pm, dropped us back at 3am because he just wouldn't give up. 3 attractions in Tromso the main 3 attractions in Tromso, we think are: THE CABLE CAR, with fantastic views of Tromso, though a little nerve wreckng for myself as I do not like heights, and a little scary when very windy! Then there is POLARIA, the pola museam, with live bearded seals, they are so cute! Also, Tromso CATHEDRAL (which is the northern most cathedral in the world) very small, and you have to pay to get in. the walk back along the bridge is nice. but you can easily get a bus there and back, they are very regular. Everywhere in Tromso is easily accessable, fantastic in the town centre as everything is within walking distance.

Time to travel Early July misses local holiday and popular events. Hotels have a lot of accomodation. Sometimes discounts available. Restaurants and streets are quieter. Midnightsun is still looking good. Still plenty to do and see. Weather can be sunny, but never too hot. Put on a coat and enjoy.
