Top Local Tips for Oslo

A (relatively inexpensive) nice afternoon Everything in Oslo costs more than you can imagine! A nice afternoon: take one of the black and white ferries from Aker Brygge to Nesoddtangen (20 minutes), and then find the tiny beaches of Nesodden. Near the ferry pier, relax on the terrace of the cafe called “Signalen” (only open in the summertime) and enjoy some (expensive) pizza and (expensive) beer, or (expensive) shrimps and (expensive) white wine, whilst watching the yachts. The sun sets soooooooo slowly!

CHARTER FLIGHT Fly with Norwegian. Norwegian is flying mainly to Rygge airport which is isolated. In international flights a Bus is always there to take you to Oslo or from Oslo to the airport, but in domestic flights there isn't!! We have booked to fly from Oslo to Bregen (fjords gate) and we find out at the last moment that we had to take a train and from there a bus was suppose to pick us up and drive us to the airport. Unfortunately the train delayed for 2 minutes and the bus was gone! A fellow travellerer managed to communicate with the airport and they send a taxi to pick us up and we had to pay for it. In case you will travel with Norwegian you have to be careful with the train schedules in case of domestic flights. In general Norwegian is a cheap airliner but the plain was clean and our journey rather safe. No we didn't pay to get to the toilet (!) but you have to pay for everything you get in the flight!
