Bergen is a great place to visit take more than one credit card as the european cards have chips in them and some merchants can't accept US-issued cards without the imbedded chips.

Bergen is famous for it..Rain and beautiful women Apart from July -August when its usually scorching hot, its ALWAYS RAINS IN BERGEN ! believe the tour operators and online reveiws.Keep a decnt raincoat and umbrella handy. You can buy umbrellas from auto machines in teh middle of the shopping pedestrian area in town.But Bergen has its charm even with the rain -go up the floyen train to the mountain top and it will probably be dry to look down over Bergen !
