Brace yourself! Bergen and the surrounding area is a fantastic place so do visit but brace yourself for the prices! One of the most expensive places in the world!

Fish Market The market is a fun and interesting place to visit. Don't miss it! There are the usual touristy sourvenis stands but the fish market is education. The friendly counter folks will be glad to let you sample whale, slow smoked salmon, etc. And lots of it is available already cooked so that you can make your own lunch by visiting one or more counters. Lots of fun and colorful.
