Idyllic mountain surrounds (Snow absolutely everywhere at this christmas period, crisp cold atmosphere, dark nights, lit by stars and moonlight shimmering off of the snowy mountains and peaks. Enter the wrmth of the hotel and a most informal greating that may take some time, but most importantly, you are very welcome. Scandinavian hospitality isn't as you may wish if you want speedy quick, but why rush. Up to the rooms in a rather primative bur effective lift and there is a typical roomy and comfortable, well equipped & cosy room. What ever you want just ask. (Best forewarn the hotel as planning and preparation assists all).
Meal times, take it easy, enjoy a limited menu, but never the less, absolutely top quality served in the friendliest of manners.
If it is the Spa facility you are taking as well, thoroughly recommended for a totally relaxing pampered experience. It's when you look out of the windows and the scenery, you have to visit. Hiking/ski-ing, beware the cold, but a must whetehr a short or long trip, sound advice is available and the correct kit also for rent if you don't have your own. I rated an 8 nfor everyone, but in my books, it really was pushing 11, you just have to be there and accept the slow pace of life in general. |
