The Amsterdam is not so much an hotel as an adventure, its bannisters and handrails are loose, its carpets worn, and with bare wires trailing across the floors it is a challenge to get around the hotel without accident. The emergency signs were broken and one broken window had been "repaired" usinga plastic shopping bag. My family & I stayed at the Amsterdam long enough to find a decent hotel..One to avoid.
