Top Local Tips for s Hertogenbosch

Use Public Transport! If you're traveling by bus, get a strippenkart. It gives you 15 rides on the bus for about 7 Euro (as of 2008). Get it at either a convenience store or the Kiosk store at the train station. It's cheaper than getting it on the bus from the driver. If you're traveling by train for the first time, go to the counter and tell the representative where you're going. If you're returning the same day, let them know and you can buy a return ticket at the same time. Keep it in easy access because you could get checked while on the train. If you can, rent a bike and travel carbon free. A lot of people ride bikes and it's good exercise. Wear comfortable walking shoes (not tennis shoes unless you want to stand out as a tourist). Heels are nice, but cobblestones aren't.
