I've stayed at your hotel twice. I have found it comfortable, convenient to the airport, quick to accommodate me in a variety of ways and always respectful. My travels take me to Europe at least once a year and when I am in your area I will most certainly stay at your hotel.

Top Local Tips for Hoofddorp

buy a GVB Pass the GVB pass only covers the city area, but it is great for hopping on and off trams, buses and metro. If you need INTERNET access and don't want to pay 5euros for 15mins at hotel, use the library near to Central Amsterdam station ( recently moved, not on Prisengracht anymore - ignore ROUGH GUIDE to amsterdam Aug 2007). They have 100's of PC's, all offering FREE internet access - not sure about printing facilites though. Although having said that, one of the girls at reception let me log on to her terminal at the hotel FREE of charge to print my boarding cards for BA.

? bill we went to the hard rock cafe on the first night which was great, lovely service, very child friendly and huge portions, good value for money. BUT one night we had chinese which was not very good and they fleeced us on the bill, so DOUBLE check your bills if you eat in the side restaurants, one pizza place charged us double because we only had a drink and they were pretty rude about the fact we hadn't eaten there.

Stop 'n Go in Amsterdam When you leave the Central Station in Amsterdam and turn to the right where the taxi stand is, you will see what looks like a bus stop that says "STOP 'n GO". Wait there until a mini van arrives. These mini vans will circle around Amsterdam all day long (I believe they are two or three of them) and for just 1 Euro you can go on and off for a few hours. Just let the driver know where you want to go. We wanted to go to the Anne Frank museum, so the driver dropped us off close by, and told us where we should stand to wait for another Stop 'n Go van to arrive. 1 Euro and a trip back and forth from the train station to the museum and back. You can't beat that.
