The hotel will never be a 5 star place (it doesn't aim to be) but as a place to stay as a base in a quiet spot at good rates it is excellent. The food, accommodation and the wine list are all very good. The building was the original home of the first "non Italian" Pope and is still protected by a friendly ghost.
