This company bought up 100+ domain names, many from reputable local businesses, even the local tourist information office did not escape their underhand tactics. If this is the what they need to do to drum up business I think it says enough about the type of place it is.

Top Local Tips for Edam

One hour is all you need! Edam is certainly a wonderfully attractive little town and well worth a visit. However, it really is very small and takes no time at all to walk around so I wouldn't recommend staying here. It's better to be based in Amsterdam and make a day trip out of it.
