Be warned by bars on the windows

Stayed at Quentin, Amsterdam in a basement room for one night only, thank goodness. About 11.30pm became aware of noise outside window upon looking saw a male dressed in dark clothing standing outside window staring in. Fortunately I disturbed the male not having to find out why there. Do not like to think of the obvious. Complained eventually changed our room. Rooms very small and in need of decoration and curtains that fit. Will never go back to a Quentin.

Holiday from hell

This hotel chain which includes The Quentin England (I stayed Here)is awful. The staff are rude, some of the rooms worse than basic. I had a wardrobe door proped up against the wall and the toilet lid was glued together. They make you pay before you stay so you cannot leave when you see the rooms and do not take responsibilty for their errors. They refused to compensate when they had given our rooms to other guests and told us it was our fault for arriving late in the evening. You can only have one towel and have to pay a deposit for a remote for the TV which wont work without.

Do not stay here - robberies!!!

I stayed in the hotel in early December 2005. While I was sleeping somebody with a knife broke into my room and stole a large sum of money, my wallet, mobile phone and camera. It must have been either a guest or a member of staff since it was when the hotel was locked, after midnight. The hotel were extraordinarily unhelpful when this was reported to them , they could not care less. Do not stay in this hotel, it is NOT SAFE.
