I've just got back from a weekend in Amsterdam staying at the old quarter hotel & would like to say how friendly the staff were, they really are an asset to the hotel. A group of 16 of us went and we had no problems whatsoever. The food in the restaurant was tasty & the locaton of the hotel was excellent. I will just say that it was a bit of a struggle getting out cases up and down the stairs as we were on the top floor but other than that a great value for money hotel!

Rooms are tiny and smell. Beds were old no remotes for tv. At 70 euros a night you can get better hotels for your money. If you ask around. If you get a room on the first floor the noise from the street and the bar keeps you awake. They do have some nice rooms but if there taken then they have a few crap ones. What will you get? Overall, it's not value for money in my opinion. The pictures look great but when you get there. I was very disapointed as was 5 other guests who checked out next morning. And i did the same. The staff were nice. good bar and secure all it had going for it for me.

We stayed here in 2005. We found this a good and safe hotel. I like the idea that the staff on duty behind the bar has to let you in through electric doors. Would stay again

I've stayed there several times as a single traveller. Staff very friendly in the bar downstairs and the restaurant food was great. It's a well run and very safe hotel. You have to leave your hotel key at the desk when your out of the hotel and they buzz you through the electricaly locked door accessing all the hotel bedrooms.
