Returned from another (of a series, lucky me!) of pleasant visits to The Nadia Hotel. It's a wonderful place to stay, a great location near the Dam Square, with a beautiful historic building exterior, and doll house sized rooms with interesting bathroom configurations inside. Each room is different from all other rooms. The hotel was recently remodeled, and bits of vintage charm peek out at you from odd corners. The breakfast room is lovely, it's been restored to elegant Victorian style with tall ceilings decorated with plaster ornaments, lush draperies, elegant lighting devices, cut flowers, and wonderful views of the busy street, the big church, and the canal. I like to sit on the canal side and look at the water with the occasional pleasure boat or group of ducks cruising by during breakfast. Reserving a room at The Nadia is like entering a lottery where everyone wins. You might get a room with balcony, you might get a canal side room with wonderful arched window. You might, as I did in April, end up on the top floor with a room having massive exposed wood beams and angular architecture which makes you feel like Heidi in her room at the top of Alm Uncle's cottage in the Alps. Yes, there are stairs (!!!) and the rooms are small. This is Holland and these features are very Dutch. The staff will carry your luggage to your room, and down stairs at the end of your visit. This charming, friendly hotel is local color at its best. The staff is agreeable and the security is reasuring. The Nadia is EXCELLENT value for the price. If you only stay at the Sheraton in America, this is not the same. The Nadia Hotel is a very Dutch establishment in a convenient location, at a reasonable price. Karen

I have been here several times and I really feel at home. The hospitality of all staff as if I am among my family. The rooms are small, but have everything that I may need up to wireless internet for FREE.
The location is second to none. The price is very moderate. I highly recommend this hotel.

Just returned from 2nd stay at lovely Nadia. Bravo to Osam (owner) and all the staff. Somehow they managed to outdo their warm, wonderful service from my first visit. My room was clean, bright, small and cozy with balcony, fresh flowers and fruit to welcome me back "home". My 5 days at Nadia were absolutely delightful and I can't wait to return. Hotel is conveniently located to Dam Square and Anne Frank Huis, tram lines. The steep steps to the reception desk appear more daunting than they actually are - don't be put off by them. This hotel is a real gem.

I've just returned from another wonderful visit to Amsterdam and to my only hotel there, the Nadia. This was my 13th visit and I spent 17 nights at the Nadia this trip. Someday (hopefully soon)I'll move to Amsterdam, but until then I'll be happy to stay at the Nadia and enjoy the truly genuine friendliness of everyone there and the excellent location within the city. I find the location central to my favorite places in the city and with a Tram stop very close by, getting to areas further out is very easy. And there is so much very close by also. Many nights this trip while out in the city, I'd tell myself that it was time to head "home", then remind myself that I meant "my hotel". And that says it all, I really feel welcome and very comfortable at the Nadia and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Amsterdam. Osama and All the staff will take the best care of you while in their great hotel, do enjoy.

Had to be in the city center for work and it it perfectly located. My room had a nice view on the Westerchurch. I liked the hotel-cat and the people who work in the hotel. Rooms are good but small and indeed the stairs are steep, but they helped with the luggage. Have to be in Amsterdam again in January and will come back to Nadia!

We stayed here 3 nights in October and we enjoyed it a lot. Staff made us feel at home. Very friendly atmosphere. The rooms are small but clean and breakfast is good. Will certainly go back here!

Hoteol Nadia is perfectly fine for a budgety type hotel. However, I have seen great reviews and often wonder if I stayed at the same hotel!! It is true that the staff that I saw were very friendly indeed and they do help you with the ladder staircase.
My room was okay but nothing special at all. It was quite basic and I didnt really think it was worth the 100 euro that was paid.
Straff great, rooms basic but clean.

The location of the hotel is bad, very noices on the street. The room is very very small, the bed also too much small. In the breakfast room, the personnel working there forgot many times to give me the coffe in the morning, the croissant not fresh.
The service is very bad, the staff and the Manager are not correct with the guests in the reception and breakfat room, they talk too much between them and not do attention to the customers. The staff has not good relation with the guests.
I will never go back to this hotel.

I could not reccommend this place enough. The staff are amazing, the manager went out of his way to make sure that I enjoyed my stay. The facilities are clean and well priced but the one thing that stands out about this hotel is the attention to detail. From your welcome drink, to booking tours the staff stop at nothing to make sure that you are well attended to and have a relaxing time. I cant wait to return.

I've just got back from a lovely weekend in Amsterdam. We stayed at the Nadia Hotel and were very pleasantly suprised. The first thing you see when you open the door is a massive steep staircase. Immediately, the receptionist shouted down for us to leave our luggage at the bottom and someone would bring it up for us. We weren't due to check in until 1pm (we arrived about 9.30am), but they were so welcoming and invited us to help ourselves to breakfast in the dining area. The staff were lovely and friendly and I found the whole experience enjoyable.
The hotel is perfectly located next to the westerkerk (you can hear the bells chime) just round the corner fromt he Anne Frank House (well worth a visit). We found the location to be fairly central to all parts of the city. Although the room was small, it was clean and comfortable. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel.
