Clean and cozy room!

After a horrible experience staying for one night at Brian Hostel, I changed to Mevlana and it was a great surprise.
Very clean bedroom, with television and a cozy atmosphere!
Even the bathroom (outside the rooms) is nice.
The owners are nice and gentle people and they also own a restaurant under the hotel with the best falafel I ever had!

Great place, I've been around them all, adn this place is a good chilled abode. Friendly people, a little quiet but what the hell... Thats what u want when your sleepy, if you know what i mean... a nice bit of advise is to get a lower room due to the steps spiraling and only being 3" thick. i got a high room (topfloor) and was tired everytime i got up them. Good place with a good view of amsterdam's finest rooftops!

Although centrally located and initially friendly staff, the people who worked there turned out to be hostile and unhelpful. The blankets were filled with cigarette burns and the standards of hygiene were questionable.

In a good location but although of a similar standard to most good youth hostels, much more expensive.. Room small but clean. Staff were unresponsive.
