Dont know why the other reviews slate the hotel but may I add they seem to be off the same person????? The hotel is very well located very clean and tidy with great service and staff.

Dirty, very lousy, Too basic and not worth your money sort of hotel. Traveller's nightmare, I have travelled a bit before and this hotel really comes out tops in the worst place you can stay!

Top Local Tips for Amsterdam

Lockers in Train Station If I am staying at a hostel in which I feel unsure of security (not that I have ever experienced a problem in this regard), I will often store a backpack with non-essentials in a locker at the train station. Or I might do this on arrival when I know I will be spending some time walking around before choosing a hotel for the night. Sure, it adds a few euros to the daily cost of staying in Amsterdam, but it gives a certain peace of mind.

BICYCLES AND TRAMS be very wary of bicycles/trams/motorcycles they will not stop so keep your eyes open at all times.
