Top Local Tips for Amsterdam

Getting around by public transport I would recommend buying a return train ticket from the airport to Central Station; also tram system very efficient. All in all Amsterdam is very easy to get round.

Great Night life and plenty to do. Amsredam is a fab city go and enjoy, a little expensive but worth it for a long weekend.

Mike's Bike Tours Bikes are EVERYWHERE in Amsterdam - so hiring a cycle and joining in the fun is a MUST! We heard about Mike's Bikes on the internet, and waited outside the Rijksmuseum, in front of the reflecting pool, at 11am. Sean duly turned up, and gave us a quick potted history of the Netherlands, before leading us to the garage to get our bikes. We cycled through town, then out towards the countryside, along a canal. We saw a 17th century windmill, and then onto a cheese/clog factory, where the owner gave a very amusing talk! This tour is very informative and really gives you a feel for the place!
