Top Local Tips for Amsterdam

Arrive By Train It is easy to arrive by train. The train station is located in the middle of the city. Everything is a walking distance from the train station. If you like to walk or bicycle, this is great city to visit. They have bike lanes with their own traffic lights so it is easy to use a bicycle. You may even see a bicycle from the 1800s.

Canal Bus Arrive early, so you can sit in the middle of the boat. The glass covers make it hard to take pictures and you have to stand to take a picture without getting someone's head in the shot. The canal busses were a great way to get to attractions and have user friendly maps so you know which boat to hop on. You don't have to wait long so its an easy way to get across town, and you can use them all day for one price.
