This hotel is avarage in almost everything, my room (single) was quite small (even for Europe), it was rather noisy and cleaning average at best. The hotel staff was there, breakfast bearable. It was very good price and location is fine, few minutes walk from Amsterdam Central. It's just precisely what you expect from a 3 star in Amsterdam, nothing less but certainly nothing more.

Top Local Tips for Amsterdam

Tram No. 5 Used tram no 5 there was no conductor on this one, we unfortunately did not pay, apparently there was a machine you had to self serve but it was not that clear so we had a free trip.

Dutch Resistance Museum This museum is located opposite the zoo and was well worth a visit.

Train from Airport Don't pay exhorbitant prices for a taxi from the airport - it cost us 50 euros, when the train is cheap, quick and efficient and the train station is very central to Amsterdam main tourist area. We learnt the expensive way!!
