Not exactly luxrey by any stretch, but it was clean, the staff were friendly specially the white bearded chap.Only probs very close to the church so bell going off every hour on the hour sort of stopped me getting any sleep but wasn't there for sleep so really worked ok. Very good location for red light

Top Local Tips for Amsterdam

Dont always go for the Taxi rank! If you are travelling to the centre of amsterdam and you dont fancy the usual bore of a taxi and of course the more expensive option, go through schipol airport to the end, you will see the train station, which is easy to use, all the staff will direct you to the platform you need, what time the next train will be here (every 15 minutes during the day!) also how many stops until you get off (from schipol) 3rd stop is yours!!Try it and save a forune! (50 Euro's taxi) (3 euro's or so for the train)

Don't use cabs! The best way to get from Schipol to Centrall is to use the (double decker!) train - it costs approx EUR3.50 each for a single and is a hell of a lot cheaper than using taxis!

Always go for the train option! the first time i went to Amsterdam we paid out for a taxi and what a bloody rip off that was! Always use the train its fast cheap and reliable!
