Getting to your hotel from the Airport / The Anne Frank Museum Getting from Shiphol Airport to the center of Amsterdam is very easy by train. You simply take the escalator down to the tracks under the Airport and in about 15 minutes you're at the central station. From there you can either walk or take one of the many trams to your destination. (Buy your tickets for the train from the airport to Central Station in the airport at one of the yellow kiosks. When you get to the Central Station, locate your tram by number and pay aprroximately 1.60 Euros I think once you board the tram). I recommend this method only if you have very little luggage that is light and easy to get on and off a train with. If you have heavy luggage or a lot of it, just shell out the 40 Euros for a nice Mercedes Taxi ride directly to your hotel. Also, I don't know why people spend over 3 hours waiting on line for the Anne Frank House, when you can go to their website and purchase your ticket online with a credit or debit card, print out your ticket and walk right in!
