Very nice quiet residential area of Amsterdam, conveniently close to tram with easy access to central Amsterdam. Nice breakfast room overlooking the canal with beatiful views. Public areas well decorated but bedrooms look dated with wornout threadbare and stained carpets, bedrooms definitly need some redecoration. Maybe more geared towards the business traveller, no mirror in the bedrooms. Service good.

Dorrius Restaurant - Eat here for an amazing authentic Dutch meal! Menu offers great choice and not just Dutch. Staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, wines can get pricey but we went for one of the cheaper, an Australian merlot and it was excellent. Over-all cost of meal was very reasonable indeed and the food was just amazing!

Main sights Recommend visiting Anne Frank's museum and Van Gogh museum, get there early if you can as the lines can be very long.
