Top Local Tips for Amsterdam

free computer access in public library Visit the public library near the train station for free internet access. Lunch on the 7th floor offers a wonderful view of Amsterdam. The architecture of the building is amazing - so typical new dutch style. Worth seeing.

Stop & Go I've been to Amsterdam a few times, but it was only during this trip that I learned about the Stop & Go bus that travels mainly up and down the Prinsengracht. It's a great way to get into the Jordaan area, where there are not trams. You just stop the bus wherever you are on the Prinsengracht and tell it where you want it to stop (just like the name Stop & Go implies)
