Comfortable and convenient

The Europa 92 offered a convenient location one block to the #1 tram line with regular service to the city center. Walking distance to Vondelpark, Leidseplein and the Museumplein. Basic room and bath with standard furnishings. Nice view over courtyard. No elevator so be prepared to schlep your bags. Breakfast was included and laid out in a very nice breakfast room on the ground floor. Access from the breakfast room to courtyard in warm weather. Bar service at night. Staff was helpful, price was fine. Good value, good location, would stay again.

Top Local Tips for Amsterdam

Getting around in Amsterdam Getting around Amsterdam can be quite tiring especially if you are not fit, if you cycle that's great. Other than that you will have to catch the busses and trams. Taxis are expensive. A word of advice get familiar with the routes you are going to take beforehand, this will you save you lots of time waiting for transport, especially if you have limited time to sightsee. Also travel light cos if you need to catch a train at some point from Centraal Station it's a bit of a mission to lag your luggage up the stairs to board the train. Amsterdam is absolutely beautiful and is worth the hassle trust me, but your trip would be even better if you get hold of the metro map/bus routes and work your way through before arriving, and carry less luggage.

Rent a bike If you like to bike you can't pass up doing this in Amsterdam. The bike is king - although it's not without its dangers - for one thing nobody uses a helmet, they don't rent them and they think it's odd that anybody would wear one. But the whole thing is worth it.

I Amsterdam When you arrive it would be best to buy an I Amsterdam card as you get alot of discounts to museums etc..
