This is a great budget hotel in the central of Amsterdam. Perfect location, friendly & helpful staff, clean rooms and bar with great atmosphere. Only 5-10 minutes walk to Central Station, Red Light District and Flower Market, and about 2 minutes walk to Dam Square and the main shopping streets! I'll definitely return to Amsterdam & Cornerhouse again :-) ****** Recommended!

The corner house offers a great location and a welcoming Dutch accomodation. The room was fine, though the walls were thin. It was nice but for the mice !

We have just come back from 7 days in Amsterdam, I found the corner house on line and we couldnt believe our luck when we arrived. It is so central, the room was big, clean with a great view and the best part ...... a very nice couch right in front of a great big window. We have been to Amsterdam 6 times and this hotel will be the only place for us from now on for the price you could ask for nothing more. Only down side is the stairs but everywhere in Amsterdam is like that. Got to say this place really made our holiday it was great ...... We will be back !!!!!

Probably the best hotel in Amsterdam, we have stayed here 3 times in 2006 and will be staying here again in 2007. Fantastic service and friendly staff.

Fantastc budget hotel & Fab Location

I stumbled across this little gem of a hotel when I was searching for affordable accommodation for a group of 14 of us who go for our annual group break. I wasnt too sure what to expect, as the price was so cheap and almost too good to be true. What a fantastic little hotel it was and the staff were sooo friendly. The bar is also a good little place to meet up for a few relaxing drinks. I am going back to Amsterdam again this year in September and I will be booking the cornerhouse. I dont think I would ever stay anywhere else in Amsterdam again.

Jackhammers working outside woke me early but bar was great and room was cheap. Thanks for holding our gear in the cellar! Great location will be back

Great place for the price cannot be beat in Amsterdam. This was our base for 10 nights Very clean and spacious TV in ever room and some have private shower and toilet.

Best Kept Secret in Amsterdam!

This place has got to be the best kept secret in the Netherlands...the reason I say this is because I did allot of hunting back in 05' when I was looking for a cheap hotel, when I stumbled upon this I thought to myself...this is too cheep-something's not kosher...but to my absolute delight I found a Fantastic hotel, with a friendly and very helpful staff. Their location is perfect, right next to a tramline, yet close enough to walk to Central Station if you wanted too. The rooms are very clean and spacious. There's no elevator, but the steps are not those all too familiar steep inclined ones we've stood before with our luggage...legs trembling at just the thought of climbing them, they're very wide and the angle is the same as any I've climbed in the USA. This hotel is, without a doubt, one you will go away feeling like you can't believe how little you paid...and how great you were treated! I've returned to Amsterdam once since the first time staying at the Cornerhouse, and I'm presently making reservations for my third trip this March, I don't even look for any other place to stay, this is my one and only choice for a Fantastic hotel and an even more fantastic price. Don't miss out on this one! You will NOT be disappointed!

Great little budget hotel/bar

Arrived in Amsterdam with no hotel organised (not very clever!) & everywhere booked up! Came across the Cornerhouse by accident, what a cool, friendly wee bar/hotel. Rooms are basic but very clean and the cost is so reasonable that we'll definitely be staying there again. It's only 5 mins from the red light district,and there are a couple of 'coffee' shops in the same street (v. handy!)& if you want to drink, you only have to wonder down stairs to their bar! Perfect.

Our first time in Amsterdam and the Cornerhouse was recommended by the friends we came with, very reasonably priced, clean, also a very nice welcome from the owners and staff. Who were very generous with their information and directions. Definate stay again. A big thank you to Theo and Hanz and co.
