Pata Negra visit a lovely spanish tapas bar in the Utrechtse straat, busy place, lovey food!

Just don't ask for directions! The food's lousy here; no travel pages' or books' recommendations were enjoyed. But the public transportation system is amazing. All tram lines run frequently and are easily negotiated by most. They even have a night tram system, and I didn't wait more than 5 minutes, even at 1:30 am - yes, it's safe for a single woman to wait for the tram or get a train to the airport at that hour. There's plenty of security! Forget the flea markets including Albert Cuyp - if you've ever been to a garage sale you've already seen what they have to offer-- unless you're buying fresh fish, then the Cuyp visit won't disappoint. BTW, the bus/tram system's not as complicated as reputed - Buy a 'rover' tram ticket for up to nine days - you get to hop on and off trams at your discretion. Very walkable city, just stay aware that the street names can change from block to block.

Learn to use the public transportation Walking is great but if you take a few minutes and a visit to the light colored GVB building across from Central station you'll not only see more but walk less. 4 day passes were 18 euros.
