I like this place. The rooms are not that great, but hey, not expensive and absolutely in the centre of Amsterdam.

Small hotel with small rooms, lovely breakfast with a wide choice of food, rooms and corridors cleaned on a daily basis and staff were very friendly. Wouldn't recommend it for people who have difficulty climbing stairs as the rooms are all high up!The only bad thing was that the room was quite cold, so i would suggest going in the summer or bringing an extra blanket with you! Also the bar downstairs is a lot cheaper than most places around that area, and there is a vending machine on the corridor by the rooms which serves heineken for 1 euro 50!! Bargain! Would reccommend it for young travellers.

I stayed in this budget hotel for three nights although the rooms are a little small, the hotel was clean but basic. A traditional dutch breakfast was included when i stayed which was ham, eggs, cheese, bread with tea and coffee as much as you like. Very close to the city centre and all major attractions although area may be a little unnerving for families with children. The accommodation is above a bar which also serves as reception but as building is old and rooms fairly high up the noise from this and the busy street below was minimal. Staff are not fluent in english but this doesnt cause andy problems the reception we received was friendly and welcoming. If you are looking for basic clean budget accommodation in a central location and need privacy and freedom not offered by hostels then this is the hotel for you.
