This hotel is a real swindle!!

I admit it was stupid: I was in a hurry, I booked this hotel because of the sunny nice picture of the double deluxe room from the Art Gallery Hotel website! How to say how much we were disappointed by this place? 1/ our first room gave on what the hotel-girl called the "courtyard" : well hardly no sunlight could reach the window in a 2m² courtyard, so the room was so dark and shabby that we asked for a room giving on the street ie the "double deluxe". That was possible but for a substantial higher price! 2/ Indeed our 2nd room cost during the last summer (2006) 150 euros/per night which is amazing for a 2-star hotel!! And for this price we had a noisy room (note that the hotel is located on one of the main Ams. Street), threadbare bed shits and towels covered with many spots, and even worse: 2 small bed joined together as a double bed and a very very Spartan bathroom, since there were no shower tub (the water could spread everywhere and reach easily the bedroom)! If everything looks from second-hand market, I agree to pay one night at 30-50 euros, but I dont for 150 euros!! This hotel is JUST-A-REAL-SWINDLE!!

Incredible small rooms and dining room with a very low standard. Nearly everything was broken / partly broken(bathroom, Internet in the lobby, beds..). If anyone talks big about this place, it has to be the owner himself.. Don't try this, it's not worth it!
