Well worth a visit. Good location, friendly and helpful staff. Rooms spacious, clean and very well maintained. Bathroom a joy with underfloor heating (in November appreciated) and power shower. Would definitely return if rooms available.

Top Local Tips for Amsterdam

Airport shuttle Me and my partner had a prepaid taxi arranged to pick us up at the airport to escort us the hotel, I could not get a connection from my mobile and had to use a payfone in order to contact their line (must call them when you arrive), then they turned up 1hour late!!!! In Amsterdam there are plenty of shuttle buses around the airport and ones that can be arranged to bring you back to the airport at the end of you trip, they charge around £12 or £13 on average, a lot cheaper and don't keep you waiting long, it is far more efficient and would recommend anyone do this when visiting Amsterdam rather than perpaying for a taxi from home.

Shuttle from Schiphol to Albus Grand Hotel Take the blue Connexxion shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel for 12.5 euros. But buy your ticket inside the airport terminal at the Connexxion ticket stall as tickets are NOT sold on the bus or at the curb. This will save you the added time and inconvenience of hauling your baggage back inside the terminal for the tickets. By the way, RT tickets are cheaper. The train from Schiphol to Centraal Station is cheaper but you still have to get to the hotel from the train station (there are 3 trams that go from the station to the hotel)
