arriving We booked the trip on the internet, and we just got into a taxi when we arrived,you get a price for the taxi before you leave the airport at a little kiosk, it costs us 10lira to St Pauls Baybay about £17,and we booked the same taxi to bring us back.There are lots of things to do in Malta,we went to Gozo and comino also St Pauls Island and the blue lagoon which was excellent, I have never seen such clear blue water!!! The church at Mosta is very interesting as well. We went on a boat trip to Valletta and went around the grand habour.The next day we took a bus into Valletta and went on a little trip on a horse drawn carriage, which was great but be careful what you pay for this as they tried to charge us that it four of us 40lira!!!!!! In the end they accepted 20 Lira!! We went to the war museum and that was very interesting seeing things from the past,and imagining my Dad during the war.There is a great market in Valletta too, just by the bus station. All in all we had a great time.

Thinking of travelling here in May? You'll probably get sun, it's nice and warm in the day, although more risk of being overcast than the later summer months. Some things are not yet open as it's still low season, it's windy meaning many sea boat trips (to the pretty coves and grottos) don't run, and the evenings are chilly, not warm enough to sit outside to eat.

Diving Malataqua is the biggest and longest established dive centre in Malta located on main street in St Pauls They are a friendly bunch with excellant staff and safety record
