We had 2 rooms on sixth floor. One room ok but smelled slightly damp, second room was unusable- water running down walls ,peeling paint , appalling smell and unmade beds .Changed this room for one on second floor which was better but had missing light bulb and hair dryer which weren't replaced all week. No water in sixth floor room in the evening and damp patches were painted over every morning. Lift buttons broken or missing and were not mended all week.
Restaurant below ground level so rather depressing place to be. Breakfast was disappointing. Coffee tasted like mud and bread was English sliced rather than delicious Maltese bread. Evening meals were disgusting and would recommend eating out in the many restaurants in the area. Maid service was very good and roof top swimming pool was very pleasant with excellent views .Malta, her people, food and locally produced wine are lovely and well worth a visit- just DON'T STAY IN THIS HOTEL until it has had a change of management.

We were shocked to see that despite the hotel being very clean and fresh: The service was terrible, they dont seem to have enough staff to cope with the guests: 45 mins to order a sandwich from the pool bar, meal times always late in opening, Air conditioning and fans turned off in an effort to save electricity, same staff working double shifts sometimes unfriendly, Owner always drunk in the bar, Hotel full of time share touts who seem to have taken over all of the reception areas. JUST DONT GO THERE !!!

The hotel was very nice and the staff friendly. Breakfast was good with a lot to choose from. Rooms were cleaned and towels changed every day. Stop complaining and get on with your vacation and don't spend it all inside your rooms!

My fiance and I had a very enjoyable stay.I agree it is not to our own 4star level,so if you are very fussy maybe it's not for you but we still found it value for money.Our room was a good size and always clean and tidy,food was fine,staff are very friendly and helpful, no problems at all. Pool on roof is stunning and area is quiet and very close to bus stops (buses are very good,get everywhere!) We loved it and would definately go back again!

Having read the web reviews about this hotel, after booking, we wondered what on earth we had let our selves in for. We arrived in trepidation only to be greeted by very friendly and efficient reception staff and a clean, large and reasonably appointed room. So far so good we thought, just the food and on going service to investigate. Dinner was very acceptable, if not quite cordon bleu. Each night there were antipasta salads, soup (don't reject it because of its name!)and a choice of three meat dishes, a fish and a pasta.The veg was much more appetising than it looked. The choice of sweets was varied but not adventurous. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful - you only had to ask! Breakfast was served until 10:00 and was one of the best "english" hotel breakfasts we have encountered around the Med. Hotel service throughout our week stay was excellent, our room was serviced daily with a change of bedding and towels. Location wise the hotel was a short walk from the front,in a quieter neighbourhood, but only 100yds walk from the bus stop (10mins service) which enabled you to visit the island very effectivley. If we return to Malta we would definitly consider staying here again what you got for the price was well worth it.

Stayed there in July 05 - the week london was attacked. The room was okay. Air conditioning in hotel packed up on last day. One man seemed to be running the whole place. The worse bit was the restaurant, breakfast was disgusting! Dinner on the second night left me with a horrible memory - a strawberry mousse dessert cover in mold. I complain to the chef along with another guest and was sworn at. Malta is a fantastic island, lovely people, just dont stay at that hotel.

We went there with my family from the 16th February to 21st of FEBRUARY there is no lighting the all the amenties in the fitness room don't work. Your room bed is not clean, all the drinking facilities are closed. The breakfast is very poor and is a total waste of money.

This must be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We were booked in for 2 weeks - in the first week we were without hot water for 3 days and never saw hot food once! We complained to the rep who didn't appear in the least bit interested. I invited him to have his evening meal with us - but he declined the invitation!!! We were moved on the morning of day 6 to the Santana Hotel in Qawra - it was as if we had died and gone to heaven.

Dreadful, with a dreadful owner who screams abuse at staff in front of guests. In the week I stayed there - the pool area was not cleaned once.

Excellent friendly staff. Good food - buffet self service - good selection. Air conditioned + fan in moderate sized rooms
Location - slightly off the beaten track but public transport very close. Nice swimming pool on the roof. Ideal economy priced hotel although perhaps in European standards just three star rating.
