We stayed in this small hotel in September 2005, on a half board basis. The room was small twin bedded but adequate. On suite contained toilet, washbasin, toilet and shower again on the small side, so may be difficult if you are on the large side. There was no fridge. A ceiling fan and an additional electric fan kept the room cool. We requested a change to a double bedded room was unable to do this. The room was kept clean with fresh towels every day. Only continental breakfast offered. No problems when we requested packed lunch instead of evening meal. The evening meals were not very good often, not heated properly.
The staff was friendly, efficient and helpful

also the noise (drunken people which are singing loud while they walked by in front of the hotel and cars from the nearby main street and so on)
If I laid on the bed, it was like being on a cruise ship..
After this "horror" I became a new room, which was a little bit better than this.. But all in all everything in this hotel is old and looks like a "brockenhaus", but they don't do anything... to improve the quality of the hotel very sad..
I think the hotel was renovated in the latest 70'ies and since then they made nothing.. What a mess!
The breakfast was also very poor. Every day the same stuff and a toaster which looked like he was cleaned last century, very ugly..
The staff (except the reception and the CEO) instead was very friendly. The room maid has the responsibility to clean all 52 rooms alone but she done a very good job... thanks for that.
The Dinner was ok, but very expensive (Malta typical I think)
Also St. Julian's is one of the Party Highs... so you better go out ... cause you won't be able to sleep during the night.. (Noisy Tourists and Maltese People)
I never ever go there, if I would came back to Malta.
