Top Local Tips for Sliema
Wonderful Nightlife Walking on the Strand at night seems to be THE thing to do. Young and old alike were out walking and enjoying the beautiful weather. Many Bristish tourists, and everyone speaks English here. Excellent value for money spent in Malta vacations
Food and Ferry.... Enjoy the ferry trip from Sliema across to Valletta but do stop and also enjoy a meal at Cockney's restaurant which faces you as you exit the ferry station on the Valletta side. My wife and I would recommend their traditional Rabbit Spagetti. We have enjoyed several meals there over the year and have never been disappointed. If you are heading off to St Julians - pop into the Hilton's Vista Bar and enjoy the view while enjoying a pot of tea or coffee. Just sit back relax and enjoy.
Buses are great fun.... Malta bus service now has 1/3/5&7 day bus passes which is a much more efficient way of ensuring that you pay the correct fare. Almost all points of interest are serviced by bus (some have a short walk).
