We will return
From the moment that we entered the hotel I felt it was the right choice of venue.
We had booked with a travel agent and at that time we were told that no balcony rooms were available. We asked at the desk and without any fuss we were given the keys to a room with a balcony to view. We of course said yes and thank you very much, and that set the trend for the rest of the stay, the whole staff were excellent.
Perhaps the rooms looked a litlte tired and in need of TLC but it was the end of the season. They were clean and comfortable.
Food was good, and varied.
And we look forward to our return trip.

Very Average Hotel
Lets start with the good points. The location of the Hotel is very good. Not far from the beach and the center of Sliema. Most of the staff are quite friendly and helpful.
The first day we arrived the beach club was open which my son enjoyed he is 14 years old and really enjoyed the pizza and chips that were served in the afternoon. The next day we approached the staff at the beach club to be told that there is no pizzas or chips from now on. When I told the acting Manager that one of the reasons we came to the Hotel was because they catered for all ages. The Hotel Manager stated there are many restaraunts in the center where I can buy my son a Pizza. I explained that I had already paid for the food by paying for an all inclusive package for 5 people. There was just a shrug of the shoulders. The Bar staff were very good and polite once they have got to know you. But we did actually see the Bar man tipping a jug of water in to the wine that was to be served later on at the evening. On ...Read more

Fair For The Money
I travelled to the Plevna with three friends for under £300 each and for the price we paid we thought the hotel was ok. As we arrived late, they had left sandwiches in the room which was a nice touch. My friend and I moved rooms as in the first room we had a very cramped bathroom, with no room to move at all. Our other friends' initial room was bad, stuck in the middle of the building with no natural light. They moved rooms twice and ended up with a good sized room with a balcony. Our second room although tiny, had a reasonable sized bathroom and a balcony. Both balconies were very tiny and just about managed to squeeze a chair at both ends. Not a lot of room to move. Both rooms had hairdryers and fridges.
The location of the hotel is excellent with just a short walk to the lido and to the ferry to Valletta and bus stops. Very central indeed. Lobby is very pleasant and two computer stations are sited opposite reception for which you can buy vouchers. In the upper lobby ther...Read more
