A few friends and family went to the Palm Court Hotel for 1 week all inclusive. The food was awful on the 2nd or 3rd day the restaurant had leaks in and water was everywhere. There was a family there and one of them slipped in the restraunt and ended up going to hospital. We ended up getting our money back for all inclusive and just ate out, the staff are unfriendly. We asked to be transferred to another hotel, so they said we had to go look at it first, so we walked all the way to the other hotle in the poring rain, we went back the next day to the reps saying we wanted to move, but then they said they didnt have rooms. Very dis-organized. I would never recommend it to anyone. the balcony doors dont have a lock on them so its very unsafe to take children to.

This was my 3rd visit to the Palm Court, and I'm going again in March 2008. I take my teenage daughter and her friend with me and we all love it. The rooms are basic, but what more than a clean bed and a bathroom do you want. The food is always really nice and there is always something on the menu that anyone can eat, and with two teenagers who can be picky eaters in tow thats no mean feat I can tell you. It's close to shops and bus terminal so travel around the island is easy and cheap, although the Malta bus is an experience in itself. If you're after a clean hotel at a cheap price (I always go all inclusive) then the Palm Court is the perfect place to stay. Some people are never happy with what they get and I dare say would find something to moan about at the Ritz.

I booked this holiday with eye's wide open, thinking its just a place to sleep! Wrong, how can you sleep when your bedroom door doesn't lock. Toilet door hanginging by one hinge, TV had bare wires on the front, no buttons, the room stinks and above all the hotel is like a rabbit warren. Safety in mind, there is no way you'd find your way out in the night if there was an emergency. We stayed the one night, til we saw the rep then paid to upgrade £50 each. Wow what a difference, another three star. The relax in, but a palace compared to the Palm court. (A Maltese Lady staying at PC for weekend didn't even stay, describing it as ex prison)! We enjoyed the rest of our stay as Malta is lovely, our new hotel, staff and food well above what we expected. I will be going back but this time staying at relax in, think I'm shocked by P Court to risk taking a chance again!

I normally stay here or at the Venus. Why because its cheap and fun. If I wanted 5 star then I would have paid for it and probably been bored silly with a load of stuck ups. Met a load of great people again, shame Christine wasn't staying longer. Will be there again soom.

Hotel clean and tidy in need of doing up but is a great base. Staff are so friendly and helpful. The food isn't much is very basic but you cant expect fancy food for the price. The indoor pool has no heating till 1st dec so is a little cold but it is easy to use another hotels pool. If your going to be staying in the hotel all the time this isnt the hotel for you.
This would suit anyone whos just using it to sleep and eat, when there getting back from days or nights out. Prime location. Tip: Talk to the locals they will tell you where to go for nightlife and days out. St Julians is where the nightlife is.

I'm travelling to the palm court again Jan 2008. This will be my 5th time. What brings me back to the good old palm court?? It's not the ritz but ok for a a meal and a bed. You pay for what you get friendly staff,etc. Could be a bit cleaner but overall not too bad. Food is good, try it.

We arrived 15-10-07 early hours of morning. Room stank, new room slightly better(after using air freshner) Very poor standards in this hotel, carpets dirty & well worn, kitchens closed due to samonella with airline food used as cover. Food was generally disgusting, nearly always cold & tasteless,tea urn was cold. We have never been so disgusted as this before, we will never go back. We think the malta tourist should do something about this hotel.

After reading some of the reviews on this site, I felt that it was necessary to add my comments. Attracted to this holiday on the outset with a very reasonable price £300 all inclusive 2 x weeks (less than £21.50 per day inc. unlimited food, drinks, flights, transport, entertainment etc. etc.) come on what do people expect with the bad comments, can you get reasonable bed and breakfast in this country for the same. The answer is no, I think not. The staff, espesially bar staff, were awesome, taking us to 'Fuegos' and St.Julians after the hotel bar had closed. I appreciate that this is a buget hotel with a buget price and could complain regarding faults but, for the price, I consider them to be unfounded. Do not blame the member of staff on reception for looking miserable sometimes with the amount of people complaining that they were expecting a better standard, when, for what I consider this to be a bargain of a holiday for anyone. Well done Palm Court, I will look forward to the next time I sail In your ship, hopefully next year.

Please read these comments on our recent stay at the Palm Court Hotel in Qawra. We were there from the 24th-31st October. We found the staff helpful, friendly and hardworking. The food is cafeteria-style, but is plentiful and varied with different choices each day. The fish dishes were particularly good. Cooked English breakfasts are available daily for those who wish to have them.

Our room was clean and tidy and was serviced daily. There were no problems with the plumbing, and hot water was always available for showers, etc. If you so wished, your towels could be changed on a daily basis. Our bedding was changed in the middle of the week.

We noticed that the pool was cleaned out regularly and on most evenings there was live music in the bar or other entertainment laid on.

The representatives were incredibly efficient and were able to answer any questions we posed. If you have not visited Malta before, the Welcome Meeting is worth attending, with much information given about what to see and how to get around the Islands - there is no pressure to book on any of the tours if you do not wish to do so.

The hotel is a no-frills establishment and should be viewed as such. If you want the facade, glitz and decor of some of the flashier hotels, then you must pay for it rather than point the finger at the Palm Court which is providing real value for money.

My god, we didn't expect much for the price we paid, but what an awful place! We were robbed, the rooms were depressing and the balconies were practically falling from the walls. I have never seen anything like it! A balcony was wedged with a magazine in order to hold it in place. The staff on majority were doing the best they could, but it was full off drunk residents and kids up to no good all. When we first arrived and I shut the door, a large piece of the ceiling fell off and hit me on the head. Then, after getting robbed we had to leave. This hotel gives Malta a bad name stay away!
