Having booked for three weeks at this hotel I left after 7 days the food was repetitive mediocre cooked staff did not listen when I told then of my food allergies still was served things I was not allowed to eat we had to eat out for three days food choice was that bad. If you got a clean glass it was a miracle, also I do not expect to go to a four star hotel and be forced to sit in the games room on steel seats to have your drinks during the day. we went into the main lounge during the day at 4pm it was to dark we asked for the staff to put the lights on we were told sorry we cant until 6pm do your self a favour and don’t go to this hotel it is the worst I have ever been to

First the good points, we had read various reviews about the cleanliness of the hotel, It was very clean. The staff were friendly.
However, it was advertised as having air-conditioning, what they don't say is that it is restricted to about 3 hours per day (only put on when enough people complain). the plumbing is awful, the shower dribbled water out with two setting, red hot or luke warm. It is very handy for the bus station (2-3 minutes walk)
The food was adequate but not exciting, beans egg (fried or scrambled) with tomatoes or cornflakes and assorted extras. Evening meal was soup (good), pasta or meat (various) with hardboiled potatoes and veg then a choice of 3 puddings (cake, gateau or fruit (you have to ask for this)). There is a small outdoor pool (this sun is off this by 11am) and an indoor pool with jacuzzi (this pool has a couple of broken tiles. There is also a roof terrace with jacuzzi.
There is no fridge as advertised for rental, there is a free mini-cooler,......

Very good location, nice personel. Tony in the barn is brilliant! Nice pool, nice rooms! For that price I'd reccomend it any day!

Having read all previous reviews of this hotel we were optimistic of a pleasant stay. However, upon our arrival the similarity to Beirut was unexpected. Lifts that didn't work, rooms which reminded us of accommodation in Soviet Russia, together with a pool which would have disappointed any child as a paddling pool all added to our dismay. Two things further put "the tin hat on it" for us. The excavations using JCBs and pneumatic pile drivers had not been mentioned by anybody, however, added a rythmn to our holiday that MC Hammer would have been proud of! Secondly the food.....

We stayed at the Canifor and have very few complaints the hotel was nice and clean the staff were friendly and the location was excellent - the evening entertainment was not to our taste but that doesnt mean other people wouldnt enjoy it. However, the all inclusive option was not as I had expected - food was only available at set times and the snacks option stopped at 3pm. Fruit and yoghurt cost 30 cents extra per item and drinks are so cheap anyway you dont need to have them included in the price. When I go back to the Canifor I will opt for the half board option. If you get the opportunity the Fernandes boat trip is excellent. Just round the corner from the hotel is the Red Lion which is a lovely bar where you can sit outside andwatch the world go by. Bugibba on a Sunday evening is a wonderful experience with the maltese out in force - walking along the front , meeting friends in bars and cafes and just enoying themself, all in all we had a lovely week in Malta and cant wait to......
