We really enjoyed our 3 night break. Mix up with room was soon sorted and we then got the sea view room which we had booked. Went half board which was as well as other eating places were limited, food in hotel was good. Staff friendly and helpful. Would love to go back.

We've just returned from a great holiday on the island of Gozo! I couldnt help myself not to write. Just before our trip we read the very negative review on this site and were really worried. We decided to still go for it as we found positive remarks elsewhere and hoped for the best. We can truly say that the hotel is impeccably clean, rooms are very well furnished and hotel really has charachter. It is bright and service is excellent. The food in the Zafiro restaurant is mouthwatering and so is the breakfast. The hotel offers a buffet with a very good selection. The staff made us feel very welcome and were happy to oblige for our every whim. I will recommend this hotel to all my friends and family. Thank you for a lovely stay!!!

We just came back from 1 week holiday at the San Andrea. The hotel definitely exceeded our expectations. After I booked the hotel and read the review below I was a bit worried, but the hotel was fantastic. Nice rooms, good food and a great sea view. We will definitely come back.

Have just returned from spending 5 days over Xmas in this hotel. The place was kept impeccably clean. The food in the restaurant was excellent, including a lavish Xmas lunch buffet. But above all this family run concern offered a service with a smile and a CAN DO attitude consistently. Will definitely be back.

Rooms samll and dark. Bathrooms have rusted bath tabs.Very dirty. Impossible to open the wardrobe doors unless you jamp on the bed. Restaurant smells of stail cigaretts. Breakfast is very basic one cup of tea/coffee on beadroll on butter that is all.
Food is enadable so blant. Maid service is a joke
they never clean the room only put the linen on the beds. Our holiday was spoiled with the noises
that vibrate the building coming form next door diving center while fill the cylinders with air with a huge compressor.
Avoid this pit. San Andrea is the Faulty Tower of

Top Local Tips for Gozo

Ask them That's it: ask them. They arranged for me (and everyone else in my party who arrived independently) to be picked up from the airport, transported from one end of Malta to the other, ferried across to Gozo and then picked up at the ferry terminal and taken right to the hotel. When did I ask for this? In the wee, small hours of the night before, by email! Of course, I wouldn't recommend that you be as inconsiderate as I was.

Scuba diving I recommend the dive on the wreks

eating out It tmun restaurant was really excellent with great service and the freshest of food. As a special treat we went to Ta frenc - great surroundings but very mediocre expensive food. Il cima at cliff top in xlendi also worth a visit.
