Top Local Tips for Gozo
Surrey Babs THe bus service was excellent, everybody would wait for bus in morning and we would all have a chat people were so friendly.
You may need to reduce some of your expectations but overall it was good Do yourself a favour and try not to Americanize your experience in Gozo. The food quality is all good or better in Marsalforn in every restaurant however don't expect lightning fast service/reconginition by service staff as this is not the norm. The best food we had was at the Chinese Restaurant at the Calypso Hotel which is the only place I would highly recommend. All other restaurants along the seaside are about the same (we went to about 10 of them so we really have a good idea). I would encourage you to not order Tuna Steaks to temperature as you will be disappointed for sure. Tuna is cooked well-done here no matter how much you try to explain to your server otherwise. The most guilty party was Otters restaurant which has stunning location and decor but only average food. We asked twice for rare tuna and got very well done servings. If you want local food, simply check out where the locals go and you will not be disappointed.

and found breakfasts and dinners really good.
I researched the hotel beforehand on all review sites and found only a couple of dubious ones.
