Top Local Tips for Verona

Verona and the Veneto The best times to visit are spring and fall. Winters in Verona can be cold and extremely foggy. Summers are nice and there is a great opera season at the Arena, but the heat can be a detriment. Allow a couple of days to see the city; it has more to offer than Venice without the chaos. If you want to see the surrounding area go to one of the towns along Lake Garda.Verona is highly under rated as a vacation destination.

Very business like, no personal touch and want your money only!! Dont go there!

Verona Card Buy the verona card! It will more than pay for itself. It allows you to go into almost all of the main attractions and churchs and includes bus transportation. It got us into everything we wanted to do and allowed us to do some of the things we never would of paid seperately for (Juliet's house) or if we had paid seperately for would of been unhappy. We got there in the afternoon and left the next afternoon. Had to buy the 3 day card bc 1 day is only one calendar day not a 24 hour day, and they only offer 1, 3, or 7 day cards. The 3 day card still paid for itself allowing us to hop on and off buses and go into all the good (and bad touristy) sites. Also, SEE THE OPERA!!!!!!
