Top Local Tips for Verona

The Arena, Verona & St Marks Square, Venice Both the above areas are perfect places to stop and people watch. Be careful though as it could cost you a lot more than you imagine. It would seem that the closer you are to the Arena the more you pay €8,00 for a beer. The beautiful cafes surrounding St Mark's Square are also a money trap. We paid €17,00 for 2 coffees in one and then €29,00 for 2 coffees in another. Admittedly the latter figure included a supplement for the quartet playing music, but we weren't told we would be charged for this and nor did we have a choice as to whether or not we wanted to listen to it.
