Top Local Tips for Verona

Forget the idea that it's a "Romeo and Juliet" tourist trap Verona is pleasant and walkable with lots to see if you're at all interested in arts and antiquities.

Pack an umbrella in October October can be very wet,it rained heavily almost every day we were there,not that it spolit it we are used to it be British but just incase take an umbrella !!

Visiting the arena If you're in Verona during the opera season, it's interesting to visit the arena during the day when the set for the previous night's opera is being dismantled and the next one set up. The sets are stored in a fenced off part of the square outside and lifted in by tower crane. Note that the arena closes for visits at 1530 during the opera season.
