We had a short 3 day break in this Hotel, and were completely satisfied with all aspects. The cost was very reasonable, and the hotel is very close to St Marks, but has bedrooms looking out over a typical quiet square. The rooms, though not large, were ideal for us, as we spent most of the time out in the City. Food was fine. Service Good. Would certainly go back.

Top Local Tips for Venice

Venice by night At least in the Winter, as soon as night falls, you have Venice all to yourself, all the tourists disappear.

Paying to get into Churches You need to pay to visit most churches.This was difficult to swallow.

Best views For the best view of the city and lagoon hop on a vaparetto to the basilica San Giorgio Maggiore and take the elevator to the top of the bell tower (3 euros).
