Top Local Tips for Venice

Water Taxi A private water taxi is a little expensive, but worth it if you have trouble getting around or are carrying luggage. The water taxi also brought us out to the airport and made our transportation much easier.

murano and burano islands a trip to one of the glass factories on the island of murano is a must. even if you do not wish to buy any of the glass it is fascinating just to see the beautiful pieces they make. burano is stunning with the houses along the canals that are painted in every colour under the sun and some lovely restaurants and shops too.
