Can a swimming pool be this cold!

The swimming pool was one of the reasons we chose this hotel, unheated, no problem we thought,but the architect put it in a place where it gets almost no sunshine. Shame, because the hotel is good apart from that. The staff are excellent, and the family area is good as well. It would also have been helpful to have knownthat you have to book the Venice shuttle the morning before.
